Tom Jones is a writer, artist, actor, and playwright who lives in Northwest Arkansas with his wife Connie and dogs Turps and Lucy.
He is the author of eleven plays that have been produced professionally in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Louisville and regionally in Iowa, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Kentucky, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia, Mississippi and New Mexico.
His plays have received the Drama League of New York Award, the F.M.C.T. National Playwriting Award, the Texas Playwright's Festival Award, the Festival of Southern Theatre Award, and the Distinguished Play Award by the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.
His articles on theatre, writing and playwriting have appeared in Dramatics Magazine, Dramatists Guild Quarterly, FreeLance Magazine, Fiction Writer’s Connection and Inland Magazine.
His short story The Runner was published in Mature Years, Spring 2008. His novel A Memory of a Tale Untold is currently being submitted for publication.
He received his BA and MA in English and Creative Writing from the University of Tulsa and completed the graduate program in Playwriting at the University of Iowa.
He is a member of Dramatists Guild and Arkansas Playwrights Workshop.
